For almost eight years I’ve been hiding behind the work – the clients and the projects – and of course the pregnanices, babies, parenting (and renovating). At times it hasn’t been pretty. At times it’s been hard. Really hard. Late night graveyard shifts and early starts to get it done. I’ve asked my self why, why do I do this?! There is an easier path, why can’t I just go that way?! I never set out to run my own agency. I’d rather just do the work. But raraPR wasn’t a choice. Not doing it wasn’t an option.
I love being as close to the creative source as possible, I love working with inspiring people designing and making things, taking risks. I want for nothing more than to support those individuals and businesses with building their brand and sharing their story with the world. I wanted to make world-class, thoughtful, PR accessible to all creative businesses, at any stage of their journey. Above all, I wanted to create a business that existed for the team themselves. A place where they belong, as much as the clients we work with.
@ladygaga ’s Oscar acceptance speech last night really resonated with me. “This is hard work, I’ve worked hard for a long time. It’s not about winning. It’s about not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it. If it’s a discipline of passion it doesn’t matter how many times you get rejected, you fall down or get beaten up. It’s about, how many times you stand up and you’re brave and you keep on going.” #dreampursuits ~ words by Jade Roberts | raraPR Founder/Director
